What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text records a site or service may place in a browser. LocalStorage is a related browser feature that stores information on a device without attaching it to every web request. This site uses localStorage for the consent preference described below.
Essential storage
The essential category records that a consent choice was made, the selected categories, a version, and the time saved. It enables the banner to stay closed and the settings panel to show the current choice. Essential storage is always enabled because the preference manager cannot work reliably without it.
Preference storage
Preference storage is optional and reserved for interface choices a visitor may ask the site to remember. No additional preference beyond the consent record is currently required for the main reading experience.
Analytics storage
Analytics is an optional category and is off by default. No analytics service is currently connected, and the site does not load analytics scripts. The category is present so a future implementation can require an affirmative choice before optional measurement is enabled.
Marketing storage
Marketing is an optional category and is off by default. No advertising, tracking pixel, or marketing personalization service is currently connected. Selecting the category does not currently send information or load a marketing service.
How long the choice remains
The choice remains in localStorage until you clear site data, the stored preference is replaced, or a later version of the consent system requires a new decision. Because localStorage does not set an automatic expiration date, control remains with the browser and the site’s settings interface.
Manage or delete preferences
Select Cookie Settings in the footer to accept, reject, or change optional categories. You may also remove stored data through browser privacy or site-data controls. Removing the consent record causes the banner to appear again on a later visit.
